Shapes, lines, colours, texture. These all define my world. I use them to express varying states of connectedness and most of all of individuality within the larger world, they are barometers of my state of mind when painting.

I find inspiration from my surrounding, be it a scenery where hills intersect with a plain, building walls toppling over each other or shadowed silhouetted shapes on a surface.

Wood is my favoured support. The grain, texture and colour of the wood lend themselves particularly well to my use of acrylics, establishing a dialogue with the paint and the wall it is displayed on.

Here the painting process is a lengthy one, taking weeks and sometimes months to progress.
